Don't believe what you read--Monica's the main character in Apocrypha.

...Really, she is!

Reference pose is, as may be obvious, a certain picture from Fate/stay night. Monica, Yggdra Union (c) Sting, Apocrypha (c) moi (and our other lovely writers).

Methinks Monica was designed purposeful to be somewhat of a mirror of Yggdra, anyway.

W-wait. REALLY?

That was the first thing that popped up in my mind.

Same character class.

Similar long hair.

Both are driven by a burning sense of justice.

That chapter gives you an impression of what it would have been like if Bronquia had achieved totally victory against Yggdra's fledgling army in their homeland.

Monica is based on Joan of Arc, actually, although she was intentionally designed to resemble Yggdra's mindset at the beginning of the game.

(They don't have the same character class, though; pay attention! You'll miss stuff!)

They don't have the same character class by title.

By some technicality, they do, but if we're going literally, she shares the same class as Aegina and... well, should everyone know about the "Other" already since it's been about three years now?

I really don't like being uber-technical, though, so...

They really, really don't. The Sword Maiden class has completely different stats and growth than the Valkyrie class, the same way that Stray Thief has different stats from Bandit. Though it's in Japanese, you can always check the Yggdra Union wiki--it has more information in it.

Well, now that you brought up Bandits:

I REALLY wanted to keep "Flunky" as a Teammate, no matter how redundant it would have been.

I mean, "Flunky" was cool.
